Our Story

Built on a Love for Portland Events

MAGNIFY started with a simple idea: Portland's events deserve photography that actually captures the energy of the room — not stiff, posed shots that look the same everywhere.

After photographing hundreds of events across Portland — from tech conferences at the Oregon Convention Center to galas at the Crystal Ballroom — we've built deep expertise in how to work each venue, anticipate the key moments, and deliver a gallery that tells the full story of your event.

Matt Reed

A native Alaskan turned Portland local, Matt founded MAGNIFY with the belief that event photography should capture the real energy of the room — not stiff, posed shots that all look the same. With a background in ecommerce and digital marketing since 2008, he brings a unique understanding of how great images drive results for the organizations he works with. His work has been exhibited at Oregon Contemporary, and he's photographed everything from 3,000-person tech conferences to intimate nonprofit galas across Portland's best venues.

Josh Dupuis

Born and raised in Oregon, Josh has called Portland home for over 25 years. His ability to find significance and beauty in fleeting moments — the handshake after a keynote, the candid laugh during a networking break — makes him invaluable on event day. His award-winning work has been showcased at Blue Sky Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts, and he brings that same artistic eye to every corporate event, conference, and gala he covers.
